Delve into great ideas scoured throughout literature, narration and more.

The power of Literature

Inspirational Studies invites the student to be curious through regular picture study, narration, discussion as well as reproducing art.

Junior High Inspirational Studies at Arborbrook embrace the Charlotte Mason ideal of offering each student an opportunity to be exposed to great art and music by studying artists and composers and their work.  Inspirational Studies invites the student to be curious through regular picture study, narration, discussion as well as reproducing art.  As students learn about the artists and composers they learn what motivated and inspired them, the choices they made and the consequences of those choices.  They are reminded that each student has God given gifts and talents that they will make choices with.  Through this study, students are inspired and personally challenged at a critical point in their education.

Junior High Inspirational Studies is a two-year program with the first year studying baroque art and music. The second year, students will study impressionist artists and classical musicians. This class also studies Human Geography both years and our role in using the tools that God has given us to help the world. During the course of each year, the students study various aspects of human geography from history as well as present day.
